"Pagpapatibay ng Pagkataong Pilipino;Tugon sa Hamon ng Panahon"

We Filipinos have many good values, values which can be applied in our everyday life and even in times of trials. This was once proven when two consecutive typhoons struck our country. It ended the lives of many people and caused a very big damage. Unity arose and many people extended their help for the others to get their lives back to normal. This caused the fast recovery of our fellow countrymen.
Another Filipino value is cooperation, this was tested when we had our practice of the speech choir. We know we are all leaders and that we need to cooperate with one another to have a better presentation. Many suggestions were given. Misunderstandings and arguments on the schedule of practice even came out.
Last November 3, 2009, we finally presented our speech choir piece. All our efforts in coming early Saturdays for practice were accredited because we won 2nd place.
In life we are encountering many challenges, but then let us always remember that when everything gets shaky, let's just put our eyes on God which is the center of everything. :)

Reflection

Unnoticed, time is passing so fast. Imagine we are now in the third grading period? As if it was only last month we were enrolling and now, one semester is finished. But then I can say that I've learned a lot and still learning more in every aspect of life. I've learned to grab opportunities so I can learn and value every effort of people around me exerted for my growth.

During the second grading period, I've learned so many new things, about notepad to be specific. All matters about tags introduced by our teacher.

I realized how hard it is to create an html file but then I am motivated to have interest in this area. Only, I have to be very careful in applying the different tags, because just a simple mistake, everything will be ruined. And that I am decisive this time to be more devoted in my studies and be more careful not to waste any single minute or second not only in this subject but to others as well.

A teacher is no just an ordinary teacher who just teach.

If you asked an elementary student what is a teacher or who a teacher is, he or she would say, "A teacher is our second mother/ father." This line is already implanted in the minds of the children at an early age.

it is true, teachers act as our second parents. they are our mentors, doing all their bast to impart to us their knowledge in many aspects. Generally, teachers are the noblest professionals. They act and serve as the foundation of any profession or vocation. One thing I learned from my mother though she is not a professional teacher but works as an educator that, "As a mentor, aim to produce students better than yourselves." She is not contented until her learners learn from her in any way.

for all we know, many teachers are devoted to their professions. Most if them are adherent to their vocation to teach and impart what they know, neglecting their personal life especially the old teachers, so to say. So, as students, we should learn to value the sacrifices of our teachers.

Imagine our world without the noble teachers? A community without teachers can not be considered as such. Whether we like it or not, we can not attain our dreams and aspirations in life without educators.

There are always new ways of doing things, new ways that are easier and more effective.

Improvement has been achieved through the aid of Science. "Diverse Science Culture refers to the different ways in which the development was originated, and yet whoever initiated a certain development, whatever culture he/she has, as a whole, if such development can be used by every other person not coming from the same way of life then that certain development was adopted and has been used to do things better." (Allelei)

As such, whoever initiated a certain development anybody can adopt so as to benefit from it and such way we can work hand in hand for the betterment of Science and Technology.

And that with the help of Science month celebration, we are prove to face reality. And we have all the chances or opportunities to correct and leave from our mistakes and misconduct against the environment.

First Quarter with TLE

TLE is introduced as one of our subjects in secondary level. It's exciting having this subject because as we all know, we are now in the computer world. Technology is advancing and improving year by year. Thus, one needs computer education so we can relate to this very advance and modern world we are in.
I've learned a lot in the past three years. And year after year, I tend to discover things in connection with computer. I've been exploring the computer in the past years (since I was first year up to this time) and this gladdened my heart since I learned to love this subject. This is challenging my interest especially now that I've started exploring the "blogger". I considered the "blogger" as my latest innovation in terms of my computer literacy. Though, this was introduced when we were in second year, I didn't enjoyed that much.
Though I am learning day after day, hindrances to maximize my learning in "blogger" are coming my way. These cannot be avoided. There are times, I can't understand what is going on while exploring. And this triggers me to go on. Unlike the friendster and facebook which I easily adopted And enjoyed using as most of us do, using and exploring the "blogger" is very different and hard to be familiarize with. But then, I must not quit surfing and exploring it until I will be used in using it.
Having our own small internet cafe at home is indeed a blessing to me! This lessens my ignorance in many instance. Because everytime, one of the computers is free of use, I sit and explore so I can learn more. And that I will not be left behind in one way or another.
Moving on I will make sure to have an advance reading and to visit my blog more often so as to improve it. For the meantime I salute every people behind the internet propagation for a job well done.

Speak to me in English or Filipino with Kindness

"Speak to me in English" this by virtue, shows the importance of English, a language widely spoken. By using this language. Using this language doesn't mean we despise or rather ignore our national language, Filipino or any other regional dialects which are very common in our country. Using English and knowing this really enhances the image of our mother tongue, Filipino as well as our so many local dialects so to say. We the students should realize the importance and the impact of learning and improving our grammar and vocabularies in speaking English. In communicating to others, may we keep on improving so as to become very fluent in using such language. But then, in speaking English language, we should not just use it for the sake of it but in kindness as well so that we may not be misinterpreted or misunderstood. Speaking or rather using English with proper facial expression makes English better o use. Personally I am convinced that speaking English develops our self-confidence in dealing with different personalities of people around.

Health, a topic to talk about

Every school year, we celebrate the so called nutrition month. During this month, many activities are being undertaken so as to remind and inculcate in each student's mind the the necessity of possessing good health and practicing health habits as well.
Activities during this celebration include nutri-jingle wherein each student is encouraged to impart their ideas in order to come up with a jingle/song expressing health matters. Aside from this, there is also food festival, nutri-quiz and other related activities. Food festival is exciting, indeed we can experience in here budgeting, marketing, cooking and selling foods that we ourselves prepared.
Today’s theme of the nutrition month is “Wastong Nutrisyon Kailangan, Lifestyle Diseases Iwasan.” Simple words as they seem to appear but with very deep meaning and impact incorporated within. Traditionally, we eat foods without so much nutrition value. This contributes to the weakening of our physical body, thus lifestyle diseases easily enter our systems. And so, by having such theme, may we become aware of the nutrition value of the food we are taking in. Not only during this period of time but throughout our lives. May this awareness be the beginning of a different lifestyle in our lives. Let this theme be a real campaign to each one.
“Health is Wealth” and “Life is Fragile” so let’s handle our lives with extra care and with fervent prayer. And that, may we enjoy life to the fullest and explore the beauty of God’s creation by having good health.
